We had a fantastic day on Wednesday 20th November at our Empty Homes Conference in Edinburgh, and it was great to see so many of you there. We were particularly proud to unveil our new website and online learning courses, which we hope will be a key resource to those new to empty homes work as well as more experienced officers.
The online training and resources are open to anyone with an interest in empty homes work. Module one starts with the basics and the remaining four modules build on that knowledge, so there should be something for everyone. The accompanying resources can be accessed at any time after registering, so you can work at your own pace and refer back to them as needed.
Sign up today for free access to the first two modules. Modules three and four will be made available in December, and the fifth module will come out early in the new year.
We’re also excited to show you our new look and website, which provides tailored information for owners, neighbours, practitioners and developers dealing with empty homes. As well as registering for online training through the website, you can register for the Knowledge Hub and there are some key resources to get people new to empty homes work started. We’d love to know what you think and what else you’d like to see on the website, so send us your feedback!
We have a new website address, above, so don’t forget to update your advice materials if you include our website on anything you send out. Our Advice Service email address hasn’t changed and is still firstname.lastname@example.org
All the best
